O centro de Instrução de Guerra na Selva protege um pedaço bem grande de floresta no meio de Manaus. Uma grande área, com diferentes espécies de plantas, ondem vivem muitos bichos e que abriga a base militar de Instrução n.5 além do zoológico, que é hoje, a 2ª atração turística mais visitada da cidade, que recebe até 200mil visitantes por ano. Se não fosse o Zôo do CIGS, muitos desses animais estariam mortos. Aqui eles têm o cuidado e o carinho de toda a equipe que se esforça ao máximo para que cada um deles desfrute de uma vida tranquila, saudável e confortável.
